About these terms
This website is operated by Victoria Garage Car & Bicycle Hire, Triq Taħt Putirjal, Victoria (Rabat), Gozo VCT 1342, Malta. Using the site means you accept these terms. Submitting an enquiry is a request, not a confirmed booking — a hire or transfer is only confirmed once we reply to agree the details and price.
Hiring a vehicle or bicycle
- Driver requirements — a full driving licence held for at least [one year], a passport or ID for the main driver, and the minimum age for the category (from 21; some categories 25). [Confirm.]
- Insurance & excess — cover is included; a higher insurance excess applies to drivers aged 21–25 and 70–75. [State the excess amounts, what cover includes/excludes, and any deposit.]
- Use of the vehicle — unlimited island mileage; the vehicle must be returned in the same condition. [State fuel policy, off-road/ferry restrictions, additional-driver rules.]
- Payment — taken on collection by card or cash; no payment is taken through this website. [Confirm accepted methods and any deposit/pre-authorisation.]
- Cancellations & changes — [state your cancellation, amendment and no-show policy.]
- Bicycles — helmets and locks are included; the hirer is responsible for the bike during the hire. [State liability for loss/damage and any deposit.]
Taxi & transfers
Fares are agreed before travel. [State your cancellation terms, waiting time and luggage policy for transfers.]
Liability

Governing law
